Steve & Brenda Corker
Steve and Brenda Corker, owner and founder of Corker Enterprises, have now expanded their business to include Corker & Co. We will offer many new residential services including, home decor, custom wood and iron works. Steve carries on the family building tradition taught to him by his father some 44 years ago. Brenda takes care of all the office duties while Steve is in the field keeping the projects going. We have been building in the Clayton area since 1986. We have won many gold awards in the Johnston County Parade of Homes including the 2016 Best of the Best award on a home we built in Portofino. It is a pleasure to make our many clients' dreams possible by providing top quality services at affordable prices. Steve is well known for his hands on approach and attention to every small detail. Also, the service after the sell is of most importance to us. Our philosophy is to treat every task as if we are doing it for ourselves, then everyone will be satisfied. The main goal in our business is to make our clients happy no matter the size or dollar amount of the project. Word of mouth is how Steve has built his business from being an all around carpenter, to framing contractor, to builder. We work hard to keep our costs down and pass those savings on to you, our customers. We have references from dozens of clients, business and personal contacts that we will provide upon request.
Jake has worked in the construction industry, with his father, since 1996. He currently owns and operates Carolina Xtreme Power Washing, Inc., a power washing company that provides commercial and residential exterior cleaning services. He will be our exterior maintenance and service specialist to assist you with all your home maintenance and repair needs.
Tim "Bear" Chase
Mountain Bear’s Forge
My name is Tim Chase, known by my friends and family as “Bear”. I have been a blacksmith for 15 years and a carpenter for 30. I started working with wood and steel as an art form more than 10 years ago.
My passion is to take the dreams of others, formulate a collaborative vision with them, and create beautiful artwork for them from wood and steel. I’ve had the great pleasure of teaming up with Corker and Company to make this happen.
I was taught by many, but my father and a brilliant Irish artisan named John O’Mara were the most influential. I enjoy creating work using techniques that were common 200 years ago, but much less common today. This includes shaping hot steel with a blacksmith’s hammer and building wooden structures without nails or mechanical fasteners.
I enjoy making cutlery and a wide range of steel gates, railings, plant boxes and other ornamental metal objects. I also love making anything and everything of wood that can be found in a home, from tables and chairs to mantle pieces, cabinets and desks.
Every piece will be personally crafted and hand signed by me. I would be honored to help make your dreams a reality for your home, garden, or office.
Holley M. Carpenter – Residential Home Design/Interior Design/Home Decorator
Holley holds an Associate’s Degree in Interior and Architectural Design from Cazenovia College. She continued her studies at Buffaloe State attaining a Bachelor’s of Arts and Science in Interior and Architectural Design.
Born and raised in Castille, a small town located in Western New York, about 45 minutes outside of Rochester, and a birds eye view to the beautiful Letchworth State Park, she was one of four children and loves to state that, “Castille had more cows than people”…. Cows do not live in houses and Holley was not a fan of the cold so she made her way to North Carolina in 1994 landing in Raleigh. She moved to Clayton in 1999 and has called it home ever since.
She loves living and running her business, Cider House Studio, in Clayton with her four kids, Julia, Taylor, Danielle, Ian and husband Dan Nunes.
With a Home Design career spanning over 22 years, designing hundreds of Parade of Homes award winning houses (“Best of Best” numerous times, Golds, Silvers and Bronzes), her talents can be seen all over Johnston and Wake Counties. Still running a thriving business, over the years she has expanded her talents to include home staging at every level needed, private and commercial interior design, custom murals for walls, decks, concrete and even fences as well as award winning illustrations for advertising periodicals or even the local Real Estate Agents for specific purposes. Adding to that she has become well known for not just the refinishing of old furniture but for also for the repurposing of both old and new furniture. What do you need, want, envision? She can most certainly help!
